Diplomat, the largest independent specialty pharmacy in the US announced yesterday via press release that it has acquired American Homecare Federation (AHF), Inc.  AHF is operated out of Enfield, CT and offers hemophilia pharmacy services and fills homecare needs of the bleeding disorders community in the markets they serve.

The announcement was made by Diplomat CEO and cofounder, Phil Hagerman, R.Ph.

“Diplomat is pleased to expand our footprint in the hemophilia specialty space with the acquisition of AHF, which has an outstanding reputation for serving the hemophilia community and complements Diplomat’s philosophy to ‘take good care of patients and the rest falls into place’,” said Hagerman. “The AHF purchase also establishes Diplomat’s physical presence in the northeast and allows for future expansion opportunities in that region.”

Speaking on behalf of AHF was general manager and national sales manager, Adam Oliveri.

“Diplomat’s reputation, independent status and entrepreneurial spirit resonated with us at AHF,” said Oliveri. “We are pleased to now be part of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacy provider and are confident the continuity of quality care for our patients will remain the number one priority.”
