WEBLEED PRODUCT REVIEW: POO-POURRI®

If you are a heavy internet user, especially of social media, you have probably already heard of Poo-Pourri – the before you “go” spray that eliminates the stinky odor of a bowel movement.  You’ve also probably seen the hilarious gem of internet advertising that was used to propel this product towards its goal of becoming a household name (see video below – its worth 2:16 and as of this writing has been watched over 23 million times).

But, if you are like us, you had your doubts.  Could a product truly exist that can eliminate the potentially embarrassing scent of your trip to the little girl’s room post-business-lunch at the Indian restaurant around the corner?  Or tame the fallout after the office chili cook-off?

We have put Poo-Pourri through its paces here at webleed.org and we’re excited to say that the product lives up to the description and the hype.

But how does it work?  Without getting terribly technical, you spritz Poo-Pourri onto the surface of the water in the bowl before you are seated (for purposes of our test we used 4 pumps).  Because the essential oils that make up Poo-Pourri don’t mix with the water you will have created a stank-proof barrier that traps any foul odors and releases a pleasant citrusy aroma once your poo splashes down.

For our test we used the original Poo-Pourri, though it now comes in myriad of scents for both men and women like: Trap-a-Crap, Poo-tonium, Party-Pooper, and Extramint.  We were able to pick up an 2 oz bottle at our local grocery store in the toilet paper aisle (where else?) for just $9.95 US.  You can also shop online at www.poopourri.com.
