Simple urine test could detect blood clots.
Sangeeta N. Bhatia and colleagues developmental study of a urine test has garnered positive results. Currently there are tests that providers use to detect blood clots in a patient or family member and if there is genetic history within that family. Dr. Bhatia points out that blood clots can threaten to choke off blood flow and lead to a wide range of serious and sometimes fatal conditions including stroke.
Usually, blood clots are a good thing. However, when not detected, blood clots can be potentially deadly. Read more about how the urine test for blood clots was developed as well as expectations for the test on the Canada Free Press website.
