On Monday of this week BioRx, a specialty pharmacy provider, announced the launch of its MyFactor Android app. After entering the app market space in the Apple App Store, specifically for iPhone users in 2013, this new Android version is billed to, “allow hemophilia patients to electronically record bleeding episodes and treatments, and facilitates easy sharing of information with their healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, nurses and care coordinators.”
“We are very happy to offer the MyFactor app to Android users,” said Eric Hill, co-founder of BioRx in a press release. “Over the past year, hundreds of iPhone users have downloaded the app. With our expansion into the larger Android smartphone market, we expect that number to multiply greatly which will help us reach and support even more patients in the community.”
The Android version brings cleaned up visuals and user interface and a more robust report generator. It also aligns BioRx’s Android offering with the forthcoming update to the iOS app. The company has stated that some of the new features will only be available to BioRx customers starting in 2015.
