IOWA – Pharmacist Fraud Case for Hemophilia Drugs Ongoing

Michael Stein, owner of Pharmacy Matters in Iowa, charged with insurance fraud.

Interesting story out of Iowa City, IA today.  Owner of local pharmacy has asked the judge to dismiss his indictment accusing him of filing improper insurance claims for hemophilia drugs.

Michael Stein, head pharmacist and owner of Pharmacy Matters, will be charged and the case will continue in February according to KWWL.com.

Mr. Stein has recently pleaded not guilty and prosecutors are seeking up to $3.5 million for possible ‘misrepresentations’ to insurance companies.
