Bluebird Bio showcases successful gene therapy studies.

An article that was released last week from TheStreet detailed how a gene therapy regimen designed by Bluebird Bio has treated beta-thalassemia successfully.

“Data presented today further demonstrate the potential for a one-time gene therapy treatment to transform the lives of patients with beta-thalassemia,” said Dr. Alexis Thompson of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and the lead investigator in one of the Bluebird LentiGlobin studies.

Intriguing studies are continuing to be researched and evaluated by Bluebird Bio and the results thus far have been reassuring.
