Former UFC Champ Chose PRP Knee Injections For Minimal Rehab Time
January 13, 2014; Posted by: WeBleed staff
Former Ultimate Fighter, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, recently underwent platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) to fasten his rehabilitation time from painful knees.
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson recently joined what is turning out to be a large group of athletes going through platelet-rich plasma therapy for ongoing painful injuries. A few months ago, WeBleed did an article titled “The Power of Plasma Rich Therapy” and more and more people are warming up to the idea.
James Hays, President and CEO of PlasmaGenix, applauded Jackson’s decision to pursue PRP therapy instead of surgery. Says Hays via a press release, “One of the main reasons athletes continue to explore the benefits of platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) is that injuries that traditionally took a full season or more to heal and rehab after surgery can now often be resolved in just months or weeks after using this innovative treatment.”
Best of luck to “Rampage” as he continues his recovery and prepares for his next match.
