United Kingdom: 2 HEMOPHILIACS DENIED TREATMENT

February 24, 2015; Posted by: WeBleed staff

British government denies the visas of two Iranian hemophiliacs.

Interesting global story out of the United Kingdom today.  Two hemophiliacs from Iran were recently denied visas to enter Britain for medical treatment at the invitation of the University College London according to a report from the Tasnim News Agency.

Ahmad Qavidel, who is the head of Iran’s Institute of Hemophilia, said that his organization has voiced protest to the British government’s “inhumane” decision which displays lack of responsibility and the visa denial reflects the “policies that basically place no value on human rights and health.”
