Ohio – Beer Festival Benefits Local Hemophilia Chapter

February 27, 2014; Posted by: WeBleed staff

Ohio’s 8th Annual Glass City Beer Festival will help benefit the Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Foundation, February 28th.

Live in Ohio? Thirsty for an ice cold beverage? Want to give back to a local non-profit, maybe even a bleeding disorders related non-profit?

According to Ohio.com, tomorrow beer drinking enthusiasts will be able to both sample beers and give back to the bleeding disorders community. The eighth annual Glass City Beer Festival will take place Friday, February 28th from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Lucas County Recreation Center in Maumee, Ohio. The event features over 45 breweries and nearly 225 beers. All proceeds benefit both the Arc of Lucas County and the Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Foundation.

The Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Foundation assists more than 1,000 people within Northwest Ohio affected by moderate to severe bleeding disorders. The portion of the funds raised by the Beer Fest will help provide summer camp scholarships, help NWOHF’s support and advocacy efforts and enhance on-going educational and social support programs.

  • Beer for a good cause? Genius. Wish there were more of these events out West where I’m at.
