Los Angeles Lakers Forward Fundraises For Sickle Cell

In an article a few days ago from Yahoo! Sport’s The Postgame it chronicles the relationship between sickle cell anemia and Los Angeles Lakers power forward Carlos Boozer.  Boozer, an NBA veteran of over 10 years, is helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital raise money for the fight against sickle cell on behalf of his oldest son Carmani who was born with it in 2006.

Carmani received a bone marrow transplant and has since been able to recover from sickle cell anemia.  Click the link here to view the video in Boozer’s own words why raising awareness for sickle cell anemia is so important.
