Hemophilia Organization Opens Award Nominations

The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) will announce their annual award winners on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at their annual meeting held in Washington, D.C.  NHF just opened their advanced nomination for their annual awards this week.  The deadline for each nomination is Monday, May 19, 2014. The organization encourages nominations from NHF chapters, volunteers, community members and hemophilia center staff.

Here is a brief description of a few awards NHF is offering:

• The Awards of Distinction recognize chapters with outstanding programs in health education, outreach, communications, and collaboration.
• The Awards of Excellence recognize remarkable and distinguished individuals in the bleeding disorders community. All Awards of Excellent winners will be filmed by nominators.  Included in the Awards of Excellence are the NHF Chapter Recognition Awards. Every chapter is invited to nominate an extraordinary volunteer within their organization.
