BioRx Smartphone App on the Horizon

November 3rd, 2013 – Posted by: webleed staff

Specialty pharmacy company releases smartphone app for bleeders.

Adding to the plethora of smartphone apps for Android, Iphone, and Blackberry users from pharma companies and independents comes the MyFactor App from BioRX – the first of its kind from a specialty pharmacy.

“This first release of MyFactor is an exciting step for us,” said Randy Broyles, R.Ph., National Director of Operations forBioRx. “Helping patients manage their disease on a hand-held device makes a difficult part of their lives that much more convenient. We look forward to taking it to the next level and beyond.”

While only presently available for use on Apple products, Bio RX plans to release in 2014 on the Google Play Marketplace for Android users.

The app boasts some powerful features including the ability to:

  • quickly log infusions
  • easily record product lot numbers
  • track bleeding episodes
  • schedule infusion reminders
  • attach photos and notes for added detail
  • view and share reports of infusion & bleed history
  • switch between multiple users on one device

We look forward to putting the MyFactor through some comparison tests to see which of the bleed/infusion tracking apps out there is the most popular.

Do you use a smartphone app to track bleeds and/or infusions? If so – which one – tell us in the comment section below.
