Seattle Cancer Care Alliance adds 2 Hematology Experts

Good news for patients with bleeding/clotting disorders in the Northwest.
Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) has added two new expert hematologists. Drs. David Garcia and Stephen Smith.
Dr. Garcia is a board-certified internist who specializes in treating clotting and blood disorders. He was previously a professor of Medicine and the director of Anticoagulation Services at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Smith is a board certified hematologist, oncologist, and internist who specializes in treating lymphoma. He previously served as an attending physician in Hematologic Malignancies at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital.
“We’re extremely fortunate to have both Dr. Garcia and Dr. Smith join our program,” stated Fred Appelbaum, executive director of SCCA. “Both physicians have a successful history treating patients with hematologic disorders and will be excellent resources for our patients.”
